Mistakes are inevitable. The world tends to pretend as though mistakes aren’t included in the definition of humanity. And if you make one, you’re written off and labeled for the rest of your life. Redemption isn’t an option in most people’s minds, and that fact tends to penetrate to the core of the doer. No matter if you own up to the action, that fault will always remain in everyone’s invisible book of accounted wrongdoings, and they’ll grasp onto it for the rest of their very own lives. In this world of quick rejections and mistake checklists, redemption is possible. Don’t let the eyes, rumors, betrayals, and the laughs of your peers leave you mistaken. Even if everybody else in the world doesn’t want to allow you that opportunity - there’s only one person who owns this word ‘redemption’. Your value isn’t defined by your mistakes - your value is defined by the cross. Your value isn’t defined by how many people like you - your value is defined by the cross. Your value isn’t defined by how many people are in your corner - your value is defined by the cross. Your value isn’t defined by how much you tried - your value is defined by the cross. And Jesus would have died on that cross if you were the only person on earth, despite every single one of your mistakes - past, present, and future. So don’t grow weary when nobody on earth wants to allow you a redemption story, or perhaps even look in your direction. Jesus was and is the only person who can grant you such a thing. All you have to do is come to Him. Give him your mistakes. Trough Him, you have been made worthy of your own redemptive testimony, and a strength with him by your side that you’ll never attain through anything or anyone else. Don’t let the rejection of other people, prompt you to assume that Jesus rejected you. He never will, and never has.
