You Are Valuable

Your value isn’t defined by what you look like.

Your value isn’t defined by the opinions of other people.
Your value isn’t defined by what someone did to you.
Your value isn’t defined by what you did to someone else.

Your value isn’t defined by what your family did.
Your value isn’t defined by rumors.
Your value isn’t defined by your addictions.
Your value isn’t defined by your suffering.
Your value isn’t defined by what you think of yourself.
Your value isn’t defined by who you are...
Your value IS defined by Who’s you are.
Your value is defined by the cross. And despite however much value you think you hold, or where you get it from - Jesus died for you regardless, because you are His. And because you are His, you hold more significance and value than you ever thought possible. We as humans make so many mistakes; we sin, we hurt others, we get hurt, and we hold such high standards for ourselves. Or perhaps we’ve just given up, and sometimes it seems like too much to bear. You are not worthy. None of us are worthy. But He truly and wholly loved us anyway. That’s what makes the beauty of the gospel so magnificent. Jesus, perfect and sinless - so graciously took away all of what you think yourself to be, what you think you’re not, and what you really are. He made us worthy when He said ‘it is finished’. He died so you could live, because He values you. Just as you are in this very moment.
